Microdermabrasion Treatments in Darwin

There’s nothing quite like long summer days on the beach – but all that sun exposure can wreak havoc on your skin. Likewise, years of laughter (while you wouldn’t trade those great memories for anything) will eventually leave fine lines on your face that betray your age. In fact, a host of factors play roles in the appearance of your skin, from sun exposure and facial expressions to acne, pigmentation caused by hormonal changes, age-induced dark spots, and much more.

Microdermabrasion is a skin treatment that involves exfoliating and removing the superficial layer of skin and the dry, dead skin cells found in this layer that make the skin look dull, tired, and aged. By aiding the skin’s natural cellular turnover process, microdermabrasion results in the generation of new skin cells and a fresher, more vibrant appearance.

Microdermabrasion uses fine crystals that exfoliate the skin surface and vacuum suction that serves two purposes: to remove the crystals and to promote lymphatic drainage, thereby improving circulation. With clinically proven results, microdermabrasion is effective for all skin types.

Treatments are applied at two-week intervals, preventing congestion of the skin and enhancing the penetration of your cosmeceutical skin care serums. The result is brighter, younger looking skin.

    Treatment Process

Microdermabrasion causes only minimal discomfort, so you won’t even need a topical anaesthetic. Your consultation and treatment combined will take about one hour.

For the first 24 hours after treatment, you may experience some mild redness. Additional, slight skin exfoliation will continue to occur for three to five days, and this can be concealed easily with your everyday moisturiser.

It can also be used to encourage lymphatic drainage of the face, which can reduce water retention and restore youthful balance to your facial contours.

    Cost of Treatment

Our microdermabrasion treatments are $120 each.

Individual results vary depending on several factors, such as your overall health, your personal lifestyle choices, and your body’s response to cellular renewal.

Microdermabrasion is commonly used in conjunction with other medical-grade skin treatments and as a regular maintenance treatment to help our clients keep their skin looking its absolute best at any age.
